Prof.Dr. Deniz Ülke ARIBOĞAN

PIONEER SPEECHES AT ÖNCÜ
Professor Dr. Deniz ülke Arıboğan, head of consultative committee and member of “World Art and Academy of Sciences”, performed a speech named as “The Changing World, Changing Occupations”.
In her speech, Arıboğan referred to transitions from agricultural society to industrial society, from industrial society to informatical society and the effects of those on individuals. She explained the responsibilities of youngsters in informatical society to Öncü students in an entertaining wording. Besides answering Öncü students’ questions, regarding the current agenda, she completed her speech by emphasizing students’ interest and the quality of their attendance.

The principal of Çağdaş Öncü Anatolian and Science Schools, Çetin Rençber, stated that they carry out such activities to help students to become inqusitive, able to express their opinions, aiming to raise individuals developed by twenty first century values.

Erkan Şen, who is one of the founders of Çağdaş Öncü Schools, informed that they do not  consider their schools only of class and student as a boutique. They build students’ extracurricular activities, not according to the amount, but quality. As Arıboğan also stated in her speech, that they perform activities regarding “Art and Social Life in Education” to raise students as rogatory individuals by approaching them systematically.

Born in 1965, İstanbul, graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of  International Relations after studying at TED Ankara College. She completed her postgraduate and doctorate at İstanbul University in 1995 and studied at International Security School at St. Andrews University, Scotland. She became associate professor in 1998 and professor in 2003. There are many national-international publications and nine books of hers published so far. “Geleceğin Haritası, Uluslar Arası İlişkiler Düşüncesi, Dil İnsanı Konuşur, Tarihin Sonundan Barışın Sonuna ve Büyük Resmi Görmek”  are the ones that can be counted amongst her books.

Deniz ülke Arıboğan’s carrier(career) started at Istanbul University and continued at İstanbul Bilgi and Bahçeşehir Universities. She served as the rector of Bahçeşehir University between 2007 and 2010 and after serving as a member of the board of agents at İstanbul Bilgi University between 2010 and 2014, she worked as a lecturer at İstanbul University-Faculty of Political Sciences, starting from March 2014. Since February 2015, she has been serving and conducting her academical studies as the head of council (consultative committee) at Bilgi University.

Deniz ülke Arıboğan was assigned to Denizbank, as an independent board member and was chosen to be the vice president of the executive board (at the same bank), Arıboğan is also a member of World Art and Sciences Academy.


Should learn for life, not for school
Graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Law. Worked as a blacksmith and cartoonist during his school years. He performed dramas as a producer in the first TRT team which was the first to start TV broadcasts in Turkey, in 1967.

He studied TV broadcasting, managership, regie teaching in England, Japan and BBC. He worked as a producer, executive, {education center,……, TRT-INT} at TRT was the founder and manager of Avrasya TV. He was the first to sell TRT products (programs) to big film and TV program markets by traveling the world for several times. He put his signature to a lot of co-productions with foreign TVs. He retired from TRT as the head of departments of TV and deputy general manager after serving there for 25 years non-stop continuously in 1992.

He became the general coordinator of “Alo Bilgi Group” in 1992. In 1993, he served as the founder general manager of Eko TV (today CNN-Turk), which is associated with Canale Plus and Time-Warner, bound(connected) to Koç Holding. Dating from 1977, she has been conducting lessons as well as conferences and seminars about media managership(management) and TV Careers at İstanbul Bilgi University, Faculty of Communication.

He has been consulting for several establishments about copyrights, TV managership, media relations, crisis management and crisis communication, rhetoric and body language. As a TV programme producer and manager, he earned 14 rewards, notably from Sedat Simavi. In 1992, he was chosen as the(was titled) “Successful Public Officer of the Year”. He represented TRT and Turkey, in various commissions of council of Europe and European-Asian Broadcast associations.
